January 8 Alaska Judicial Corruption Court Hearing

January 8 Alaska Judicial Corruption Court Hearing
AGJA members support Grand Jurors right to investigate

Third-district Presiding Judge Thomas Matthews denied Judge Murphy’s/Grand Jury Independent Prosecutor Campion’s combined request to dispense with oral argument in the felony prosecution of Judge Murphy.

The reason for the denial? Judge Matthews stated it is important this case is “transparent and open to the public.”

Thus, Alaska Grand Jury Association thinks it very important this time around to get everyone possible to attend oral arguments on Murphy’s motion to dismiss. They are scheduled for 10am on Monday, January 8, 2024 in the Homer courthouse.   Several people are looking at staying at Lands End to ensure there are bodies in the court room to keep them honest.  Do not rely on listening to the hearing online as previous versions have had convenient technical issues.  Come ensure justice is carried out.

Land’s End will be open at noon for lunch and Alaska Grand Jurors Association plans on having a meeting/lunch there after arguments are done. Rooms are $75 a night.

If you can’t make it in person call the Homer courthouse at 907-235-8171 for Zoom info.
