Alaska Grand Jurors Association supports the right of grand jurors to investigate as is laid out in the Alaska State Constitution.  Article 1, section 8 of the Alaska Constitution states, “The power of grand juries…

Corruption in Government is not just in Alaska but other states as well

Corruption in Government is not just in Alaska but other states as well

You may have noticed an uptake in government officials being charged with crimes against the people they are elected to represent.  In Alaska we are seeing it in the courts, with politicians, state agencies like Office of Children's Services and among law enforcement.  What you might not be aware of is this problem is coming under national scrutiny.  Montana's Attorney General Austin Knudsen has recently made huge headlines.  Reporter AMY BETH HANSON from AP news quoted Tim Stauch, "Knudsen or attorneys under his supervision “routinely and frequently undermined public confidence in the fairness and impartiality of our system of justice…
A letter about Alaskan Rights from a concerned citizen

A letter about Alaskan Rights from a concerned citizen

Friends, How many times do we-the-people have to speak up? How many news articles have been written about the injustices that some (usually the poor and uneducated and people of color) Alaskans have had to face because our elected Governor will not exercise his Constitutional authority Article III Sec. 16?  Governor Dunleavy took office in 2018 and then was re-elected 2022.  How many years does it take to remedy the wrong, correct the dysfunctional OCS system, etc.  Problems are getting worse, not better.  Listen to the link about SB 31. There are many injustices that are happening to several of…
Preliminary Hearing for Margaret Murphy Held in Homer

Preliminary Hearing for Margaret Murphy Held in Homer

Preliminary Hearing for Margaret Murphy Held in Homer On a beautiful day in Homer Alaska 36 people from around the state gathered for the Preliminary hearing of Judge Margaret Murphy.  Judge Murphy is charged with perjury.  She is facing ten years in jail with up to $100,000.00 fine.  This is in effect the trial of the century and tax payers should be outraged by this abuse of power. To Alaska residents the State of Alaska Constitution adopted on February 5th, 1955, ratified April 4, 1956 means justice is fair.  Beyond that it is the Governors responsibility for the faithful execution…

We welcome you to share the AGJA Facebook site.  It is vital that all of us start sharing and talking about why we must stand against judicial corruption.  Many regular members can answer questions about what has happened and why it is important to all Alaskans.  If you have questions reach out to any regular poster on the facebook page or send us a message here. The work of grand jurors is not easy.  They come under fire by people promoting corruption and even the Supreme Court Justices through SCO 1993.  Each person who has had a case heard by…

To honor Hoonah Tribal Councils Resolution #23-25

Hoonah Resolution #23-25 judicial failure in Thomas Mack case

Resolution #23-25 HIA Resolution - 2023 The Hoonah Indian Association makes some very good points in RESOLUTION #23-25 Resolution of Support for Thomas Jack. You should read up on this case.  The Native communities are unrepresented in the judicial system.  Governor Dunleavy has failed to recognize or act on this.  Tribal Council findings represent the facts.  A court stacked against Thomas Mack- that being an all white court is not justice.  Native neighbors ethnic rights in the judiciary system harms Alaska.  It devalues their freedoms by placing them in jeopardy of dealing with a stacked deck.  It would seem our…
Arraignment of Judge Murphy

Arraignment of Judge Murphy

What is Arraignment? An arraignment is the first step in a criminal proceeding. This is where the defendant is brought in front of the court to hear the charges against them and enter a plea. An arraignment can be viewed as a pre-trial. Some states will require an arraignment for misdemeanor cases or felony cases. Other states only require an arraignment for felony cases. During an arraignment, in front of a judge the charges will be read to the defendant. The defendant will also be read their rights.  (https://herlawyer.com/arraignment-vs-indictment/) On June 23rd , 2023 ex Judge Margaret Murphy was arraigned at…
Judge arraigned in Kenai for Perjury

Judge arraigned in Kenai for Perjury

On June 23rd 53 people drove from all over Alaska to attend the arraignment of ex-judge Margaret Murphy for perjury.  This indictment is the result of a grand jury convened under the Alaska State Constitution.  Under the Alaska Constitution people have the right to question the courts and other agencies for faulty processes and corruption.  All elected officials need to be accountable. People from as far away as Talkeetna drove to listen to a hearing that lasted approximately 12 minutes.  The courtroom was rightfully packed with people wanting to witness that a judge caught lying was being held accountable. Perjury under…
