Topic and subject: Grand jury rights and public accountability
The assembly focuses on Alaska grand jury reporting, public access to the Kenai Grand Jury’s report and recommendation, and the Association’s concerns about judicial accountability. The Association is calling for release of the report and recommendation associated with the 2022–2023 Kenai Grand Jury investigation.
The Association also asks the Governor to appoint an independent commission to publicly examine the concerns described in its original event announcement. These are the Association’s advocacy positions; this event is organized by the Association and is not an official government or court event.
